Interested in signing up for Ohio as America for the 2012-2013 school year?
There is a sliding per student rate for Ohio as America during the 2012-2013 school year. Prices begin as low as $7 per student. Paid subscriptions to the 4th grade edition will also include a free subscription to our new 8th grade edition. Individual schools, districts, or educational service centers can purchase subscriptions Ohio as America. Ohio as America is eligible to be purchased using Title I funds.

A subscription for the 2012-2013 school year includes access to 9 professional development webinars for all teachers covered by the contract.

How will I find the money for Ohio as America?
Here are some hints and tips for finding sponsors or funding to help you bring this resource into your classroom.

If you are interested in finding sponsorship to bring Ohio as America into your classroom there are many avenues you may take. Here are a few possible sources that offer grants to teachers for education programming:

In addition, you may want to ask local businesses or local business organizations such as the Kiwanis Club or Rotary Club to help fund Ohio as America in your classroom. You may also be able to research local foundations through the Foundation Center’s on-line Foundation Directory at your local library.  When approaching these organizations and individuals, points to keep in mind are:

  • Make your request clear and concise limited to 1 to 1½ pages
  • Include the number of students that will benefit from the contribution
  • Include a brief overview of how you will use the new textbook with your students
  • Add that their contribution will be recognized by the school
